Walmart has gradually eroded its price-matching policy over the years. After removing it from 500 stores, they replaced it with the Savings Catcher App. They increased the number of stores that needed to use the Savings Catcher App. They got rid of the Savings Catcher App because they claimed they had the lowest prices in so many cases that there was no need for an in-store price matching policy.

Does Walmart price match?
Walmart will only match the price when there are certain circumstances. In stores, it will not be a price match.
- Competitors.
- Other Walmart or Neighborhood Market stores.
- Walmart Marketplace sellers on Walmart.com
What are they going to price match? Their website is of their own. If you find an item cheaper at Walmart.com, you can claim a price match at your local Walmart store.

How do you get Walmart to price match?
If you see something in store that is cheaper online, ask the cashier at the register or the customer service desk for a price match. They might not need a supervisor for the transaction.
The item needs to be in stock at the Walmart store and Walmart.com. The item must be of the same color, quantity and model number.
You can only claim one price match per day, which is not the norm with other retailers.
Does Walmart price match their online prices?
Walmart will match prices from Walmart.com in store, as long as they are not from third-party sellers.
This is one of the only circumstances in which Walmart will match the price in 2022.
Does Walmart price match Amazon?
If you are shopping on Walmart.com, Walmart will match Amazon’s price. They won’t honor Amazon prices at the store.
Does Walmart price match Target?
Walmart.com will price match Target.com, but physical Walmart locations will not match Target prices.
The other way around works as well. Target and Walmart will have the same price. If you have a RedCard, you might be better off buying the item at Target. You can claim the price match plus 5% off as a Redcard perk if you have a Target price match policy.

NO. When browsing Walmart.com you need to be careful. Third-party sellers can sell some items. Walmart won’t match these prices. Walmart will match prices for items sold and shipped directly.
What are the exclusions to the Walmart price match policy?
If you live in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, you will not be able to price match.
Walmart.com price matching policy excludes other things like

- Bundle offers.
- Rebates, coupons, and mail-in offers.

- Competitors’ clearance, closeout, or liquidation items.
- special hour/flash/limited quantity or other special event offers.
- Used or refurbished items.
- Lower prices that are a result of pickup discounts.
Walmart.com may look at the competitor’s shipping costs and fees in order to determine if they have a lower price.
Does Walmart price match during Black Friday?
No. Walmart.com and Walmart stores will not match each other’s prices. Cyber Week and Pre-Black Friday are not compatible with price matching.
Does Walmart have a price adjustment policy?
Yes, Walmart does have a price adjustment policy.
The length of Walmart’s price adjustment policy depends on how you paid:
- You have five days if you paid by PayPal, Healthy Benefits, or SNAP/EBT.
- You have seven days if you paid via debit card.
- You have 10 days if you paid with a credit card.
You can claim a price drop from Walmart.com if you made your purchase in-store. You cannot claim in-store pricing if you purchased via Walmart.com.
